Job Description

Job Title: Office/Retail Unit Supervisor

Salary: Starting at 15k per annum to be reviewed after 3 months probation period

Report to: Sales & Quality Director

Based at: Belasis Hall Park, Billingham

Job purpose (Core Functions) • To be an active member of the sales/despatch team. • To ensure the day to day running of the office/Retail unit in an efficient and pro active manner. • To assist in the supervision of and in maintaining an efficient and effective team/department, understanding customer needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible. • Assist with management of stock and sales figures. • Generate new and innovative ideas to enhance and improve department. • Maintain equipment/sales area effectively, efficiently and securely. • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers. • Demonstrate a positive leadership style with an enthusiastic, positive committed and flexible attitude, promoting the importance and benefits of effective team working.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To maintain a good level of personal presentation • Assist in development and motivation of team. Promote efficiency, company standards and commitment to area. Assist with provision of ‘personnel’ service to team in line with company policy and current legislation. • To comply with the Data Protection Act at all times. • To actively follow company policies. • To attend staff meetings and training as required. • To maintain accurate administrative and IT records as directed. • To maintain confidentiality at all times. • Other Information

Skills and Experience Required

It is essential that the post holder has Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Databases, the Ability to keep accurate stock records, Ability to work as part of a team, Ability to prioritise and delegate workloads. It would be desirable if they had NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration or Customer Services or equivalent, Knowledge of Hair & Beauty Industry, Previous Training courses in Team Building. Required Experience would 'ideally' be Minimum of 3 years experience in an Office/Retail Supervisory role, Supervision of staff, Positive development of junior staff, Previous Key Holder responsibility.

Personal attributes required are Good effective communication skills, Ability to work under pressure, Ability to work to deadlines, proven drive to achieve good sales results.
