Job Description
Vehicle Data Management Our client purchases vehicle data is three forms, Makes & Model Index (MMI), Parc Statistics and OE Product Data. The fundamental role of the vehicle data analyst is to take responsibility for the development of these data sets and work within the product management teams to offer supporting and high quality reporting and analysis as well as system development.
Gap Analysis As part of the private label programs the Vehicle Data will need to be manipulated for analysing Gaps in range. These reports will be passed to the Product Management for technical analysis and product sourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning this process and also devise proposals for development.
Trend Reporting Using Vehicle Parc Data (UK vehicle profiling) the successful candidate will be reporting on market trend in fuel types engine sizes etc.
Cross References Cross referencing is a method of cross selling product in different brands. The responsibility of identifying and validating cross references is that of the Product Manager, but the database content needs to be reported to the Marketing Manager on a monthly basis for KPI fulfilment
Catalogue Production Preparation and compression of data along with managing the proofing process of data output prior to electronic catalogue uploads or paper catalogue print production processes. The catalogue production includes the image database of product for cataloguing, which currently is the remit of the Vehicle Data department
Online Catalogue Systems Our online catalogue systems used by our customer and branch network require regular development and improvements. The successful candidate will specify, implement and monitor the project.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential Skills
Excellent Access and SQL skills Highly motivated and excellent team player Excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel) Flexibility
Preferable Skills
Catalogue or Print production Experience Experience of the Automotive Aftermarket Good knowledge of Marketing
