Position Description: Project Engineer Water Leaks Variation Reduction Team (VRT), Responsibility is to ensure the vehicle meets it's water ingress and body hole size (EBHS) targets. To identify and implement a SMART test plan to identify potential water ingress concerns, robustly identify route cause, identifying the correct ownership by component area and champion, implement containment actions and robustly resolve all water ingress risks.
Skills and Experience Required
Skills Required: Knowledge of Body Engineering Systems, specifically Body Sealing. Working knowledge of Manufacturing Assembly Processes. The ability to communicate with cross functional areas, at every level throughout the organisation. Good communications skill, with the ability to be clear, concise and confident. The courage to be honest with and know when to engage the senior management team. Knowing when to esculate in order to ensure removal of roadblocks. Adaptable, be able to think on their feet, and challenge accepted processes if necessary.
Skills Preferred: Proven BIW sealing experience. Proven project time line management Use of Microsoft application, (eg Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet the medical requirements of J&LR facilities. Working knowledge of project delivery processes GPDS / FPDS / PPAP. Working knowledge of change management processes AIMS, WERS, PACN Catia 5, TCE user knowledge. Vismockup , digibuck user knowledge, Problem solving tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, DMAICR.
Experience: Ideally previous launch experience within the automotive sector
Education: Ideally degree educated
