Job Description
Our client, one of the top three commercial vehicle and trailer manufacturers in the UK, is currently looking for a Buyer, based in Manchester.
The role: -Reporting to the Purchasing Director this role involves working with the current purchasing team, outbased factory storemen, supervisors and engineering team. - Identifying the most cost effective suppliers to ensure reliable deliveries in a timely manner to our production facility. - Inventory management, improvement of the supply chain process, production of KPI reports as required to.
Skills and Experience Required
The successful candidate will have : - Procurement experiences in an engineering, manufacturing or automotive environment. - Implementation of continuous improvement strategies. - Knowledge of lean principles of product engineering. - Strong IT skills. - Able to work in a fast pace environment to tight deadlines with minimal supervision. - Good communication skills.
