An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical System Engineer has arisen within this leading international engineering business with a strong reputation for innovation supplying major global customers in strong niche markets.
Position Title: Electrical System Engineer Department: Hybrid Rate per hour £32 (Limited Company) Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Warwickshire ( commutable from Coventry, Solihull, Leamington, Warwick, Banbury, Oxford, Rugby, Daventry, Stratford areas)
Position Description: Working as part of the hybrid systems team the chosen candidate will be responsible for: Capturing and documenting system requirements in a robust manner. Cascading system requirements to sub-systems within/outside the hybrid COC. Ensuring full traceability of requirements, complete functional cascade documentation. Hybrid use case development to aid in system definition. Ensuring all robustness / quality processes are followed and built in to the system design. Working within the QOS. Coaching / assisting other team members in quality processes. Delivering the systems p-diagrams, FMEAs, RDMs, quality history etc to meet all the requirements on the QOS. Working closely with the systems leads and functional safety leads. Pulling together and driving cross-functional teams as required to deliver the above.
Skills and Experience Required
Skills Required: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Experience in robust engineering essential. Six sigma trained – Desirable. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Skills Preferred: Strong communication skills. Strong organisational skills. A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement.
Experience Required: Experience of systems engineering and/or complex system integration - Essential. Knowledge of requirements management software i.e. Doors - Desirable. Knowledge of hybrid systems not essential.
Education Required: Applicants should ideally be qualified to degree level.
