Job Description
C Day and Son Ltd is a family run business with over 35 years experience. Due to the expansion of our company, we are looking to appoint another painter and decorator to join our successful team. The job involves all aspects of painting and decorating including interior and exterior work for both domestic and commercial clients. Applicants must be prepared to travel out of Watford depending on where the client is based. Fuel costs will be subsidised on any such journey.
The salary will depend on experience and quality of work. Payment is performance related, so there are opportunities for progression within the company. Please note, that continuing employment will depend on the volume of work we have at any given time.
Applications should me made in writing, giving a brief overview of experience. Suitable applicants will be required to attend an interview and will be contacted shortly after the closing date to arrange a mutually convenient time. Interviews will take place the week beginning the 15th August.
Skills and Experience Required
* Experience as a professional decorator (preferred) * City and Guilds certified (preferred) * Registered as self employed with unique tax reference (UTR) number * Clean, respectful and reliable * High standard of workmanship * Well spoken with a good understanding of English * Able to work in a team as well as alone. * Suitable transport with a full UK driving licence. * Personal protective equipment (overalls/hard hat etc) * Tools to carry out required work
