Job Description
Peppercorn Catering are a family-run catering and cake business based in Glenfield, Leicester. We will soon be opening our new Deli Cafe and Cake Shop in Anstey, Leicester, to run alongside our catering business, and are looking for a Catering Manager to complete our team. Working as part of a small dedicated team you will prepare cold finger and fork buffets for corporate and private customers, and also hot and cold food to eat in and take away in the cafe. You will have previous catering experience and must ensure a high level of customer service at all times. You will maintain product displays, control stock levels and monitor till discrepancies. Previous supervisory experience essential. You will oversee the running of the Cafe and take full responsibility for the catering business, in the absence of the Proprietor. You will be required to deliver food so a full driving licence is essential.
Skills and Experience Required
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will ensure high H&S and food safety standards are maintained at all times. There is opportunity for the right candidate to develop this role within the business. Hours are 40 per week, shifts to be determined according to catering requirements, but weekend work will be necessary. Starting salary is £16640 per annum, rising to £18200 within 6 months, with lunch and uniform provided. You will also receive 28 days paid holiday per year (this includes bank holidays).
