Job Description
Cheshire Mews is a supported living scheme for disabled people in Lurgan, it has 15 flats. The Community service provides domiciliary care services to people in the Lurgan area with physical disabilities. The Floating Support scheme provides Housing related support to people with physical disabilities in the Lurgan, Portadown, Craigavon areas.
Cheshire Mews & Care in Community Service: To provide assistance with personal care and other daily living tasks to disabled people within their own homes. To work with each individual to maximise their independence, encourage choice, participation and motivation to achieve their goals.
Floating Support Service: To provide housing related support to people with physical disabilities to enable them to maintain their homes and tenancy. To work in partnership with the service user to maximise their independence, encourage choice, promote participation and motivation to achieve their goals.
Skills and Experience Required
You will need to have an NVQ 2 in Care or be prepared to work towards it. Experience working in a Care environment. Have excellent written and oral communication, be self motivated and committed to enabling and empowering disabled people. You must be prepared to work flexible hours.
