Job Description
An opportunity exists for a talented person with excellent leadership abilities. The main purpose of this role is to provide inspirational leadership to a small multi-talented team of education presenters. In addition, Mad Science Team Leaders have responsibilities for generating sales in their geographic area and ensuring outstanding service delivery. You will sell our fun, Mad Science (www.madscience.org/southeast) educational programmes to schools and other customers, communicating with school managers, teachers and parents, whilst ensuring that you and your team of presenters are fully equipped to deliver the programmes to children.
You will respond positively to customer feedback, and work closely with the management team to design and implement action plans, encouraging excellence throughout the service. You will provide necessary feedback, training and support to develop self and colleagues within your team, leading effective team meetings that add value to the team and results.
Skills and Experience Required
In addition, the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate the following:
Awareness and understanding of the state and independent education sectors.
The ability to gain an in-depth knowledge of company product ranges and develop appropriate sales strategies.
Assertive, adaptable and results-orientated team player with a positive attitude.
The ability to present Mad Science programmes to primary aged children in a range of settings.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in the use of computer software, in particular MS Word and MS Excel, and have knowledge of and the ability to learn databases and other software.
You will need to be enthusiastic about training and coaching colleagues and developing teams.
The ability to lead a team in a constantly changing and challenging environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage an office and storage area, along with the associated administrative tasks.
You must hold a valid full driving licence and have access to a car as you will be required to be mobile and work across the south east.
