A successful secondary school in the Blackburn area is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate KS3 and KS4 Science teacher to cover a maternity leave, initially for two terms however this could possibly be extended. The ideal candidate must be able to teach general science to KS4 level and be willing to work sometimes as a science technician, strong behaviour management skills are a must. This is a good opportunity for a Science specialist who is willing to take on the duties of a permanent member of staff including lesson planning, marking and break and after school clubs if needed. The school is a successful and ambitious 11-16 comprehensive situated close to the centre of Blackburn. The successful candidate would be joining the hardworking and highly successful English department with a view to make this department even stronger. The position is to start in April 2012 and the successful candidate would be covering a maternity leave however could turn into a permanent position for the right candidate. NQT’s are preferred.
