Experienced Engineering Buyer required. Duties range from general admin, looking after daily times sheets, jobs sheets, to sourcing the supply of all types of materials, steel products, plates, tubes, fittings, flanges etc including all types of consumables used in welding and general shop floor. Negotiating with suppliers for best price and delivery to fit in with company cost saving targets and production deadlines. Successful candidate must have previous buying experience, knowledge of engineering products is desirable but not essential. Sound numerical skills, good communication and negotiating skills, be well organised, good time management, confident, be proficient in all Microsoft Office skills. Must be able to work on own initiative.
