Structural Engineer

The Company

Our client based in Doncaster require a Structural Design Engineer on a contractual basis to assist them with their growing portfolio of work.

Scope of role * Competent in the design of steel structures from scheme stage to construction. * Structural design of all primary and secondary steel members associated with building structures. * Sway analysis of braced and rigid frame multi storey steel frame structures. * Design of long span and portal frame structures. * Design of architectural quality facade support structures. * Structural design and detailing of all beam, slab, column and shear wall elements. * Sway analysis of multi storey concrete structures. * Be able to represent the company at design and project team meetings from project start-up through to completion.

Background required

* Must have an extensive commercial structural engineering background and have relevant qualifications. * Be a strong communicator and have good interpersonal skills as this role will require a lot of face to face contact with clients and other departments * Have Autodesk Robot Structure - Steel and concrete design experience * Be able to use Strand7, CSC Fastrak Building Designer, CSC Orion and Masterseries to a proficient standard. * AutoCAD - drafting proficiency is a must

This role is offered on a contract basis.
