Job Description
Civil Engineering & Utility Contractor. Due to an increase in workload across several divisions they are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager You will be required to:
* Promote and manage Policies and Procedures and Best Practice at all times * As a Health & Safety Manager you will be required to support the Project Manager's in undertaking Health & Safety auditing / inspections regularly * As a Health & Safety Manager your role will involve undertaking Accident / Incident Investigations * Ensure adequacy of Risk Assessments and Method Statements * Ensure Health & Safety competence levels of all staff and contractors * Maintain your own proficiency to current standards * Ensure Safety Passports and Site Inductions are conducted * As a Health & Safety Manager you will be required to Identify and implement SQE initiatives to ensure continuous improvement * Develop / Maintain relationships with Client counterparts * Assist in development of behavioural based safety culture * Advise Management team on Health & Safety issues
Skills and Experience Required
* As a Health & Safety Manager you should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the Civil Engineering / Utility Industry * Appropriate qualifications, including NEBOSH / IOSH & CDM Regulations * The ability to communicate at all levels * Good organisational skills * Ability to undertake audits and inspections
