BBC Humanities Teacher
The Children's TV Channel of the BBC require a humanities teacher to feature in their upcoming series "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" - a new magic academy on CBBC.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice will take 14 lucky children from Years 6-8 to attend a magic academy for 2 and a half weeks, where they will live, breathe and learn magic, competing for the accolade of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The children will experience the life of a trainee sorcerer, including chores, classroom lessons and boarding school rules.
We are looking for a no-nonsense humanities teacher for the academy, to teach pupils for two to three hours per day. All applicants are required to have experience in teaching Years 6-8 and will need to be able to discipline the class. Supply and retired teachers are also welcome to apply.
Although no previous television experience is necessary, this is an on-screen role and payment will be made.
If you are interested in this unusual job opportunity and are available 29 March – 19 April 2007, please contact Cat as soon as possible on 0207 284 2020 or cathoskin@twentytwenty.tv
