Registered Nurse Manager Kent
Prestige Nursing Ltd are offering a Registered Nurse Manager job in Canterbury, Kent UK.
Duties Involved:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Nurse Manager to manage a 59 bedded care home in the Canterbury area that provides long term, respite, day care and other related services to vulnerable elderly people with dementia.
You will be responsible for:
- The day to day running of the home.
- Staff management.
- Ensuring that all care delivered complies with CSCI requirements and company procedures and policies.
- Monitoring and control of expenditure.
- Maintaining safe working systems in line with current health and safety legislation.
- Networking with other health care providers.
- Being active in the promotion of the home and its services.
This job has excellent prospects, as the employers are keen to employ someone who will guide the home through a period of development and expansion, with a view to the successful candidate possibly being given the opportunity to take on a more senior role within the company once the home has been through its transition period.
Pay:
The starting wage is negotiable, but likely to be around £25,000 to £28,000, rising to around £30,000 to £33,000 within a year if the home has been succesfully guided through it's development from a care to nursing home.
Skills Required:
- You will be an RGN or RMN and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar setting - two being in a managerial role.
- You must have proven leadership skills and have experience in budget management.
- You will be a good communicator and have accurate and concise writing skills.
- You will have the ability to recruit train and develop staff.
- It is essential that you have a recognised managerial qualification such as an NVQ4.
- Desirable experience and skills: NVQ assessors certificate and dementia specialist training.
